Collodial Silver Ear Infection Dogs

Use of colloidal silver - ear infections - dogs
By Tess Thompson

Ear infections in dogs can be extremely tough to handle for the pet owner and the pet. Though medication can help, the best option is to try and prevent ear infections.

Ear infections can be prevented by ensuring that the ear is cleaned regularly and religiously. A complete job of cleaning can significantly reduce the probability of contracting an ear infections or ear mites.

Colloidal silver is a forgotten natural antibiotic. It is non-toxic and is believed to have germicidal and antibiotic properties. The colloidal silver starts acting shortly after it is consumed.

Colloidal silver is actually produced by passing electric current through two silver electrodes hung in distilled water. This process produces microscopic silver particles of pure silver that dissolve in the water. The clear or light golden water solution is known as colloidal silver. The colloidal bioelectric silver carries a negative charge. This negative charge reacts with the positive charge of a pathogen to inhibit growth of disease producing agents.

Ancient records mention a list of more than 650 conditions that can be prevented and cured by colloidal silver. It has often been mentioned as an antibiotic hero. Colloidal silver is a significant part of home remedies for dog ear mites since it has cleansing and antibiotic properties. It may be considered for use for the following purposes.

Cleaning skin
Cleaning wounds.
Providing relief from rashes and minor burns
Killing germs
Cleaning ears and eyes
As an aid in digestion

Ear mites can prove to be a major problem in dogs and cats. Infections caused by dog ear mites or cat ear mites are common. If not attended to in time, ear mites can lead to yeast infections in the ear. The resultant itching can result in the rupturing of blood vessels causing hematoma. Expensive surgical treatment is required if the simple ear mite condition develops into a hematoma.

The name “silver” should not alarm you. It is cheaper than other prescribed antibiotics or those available over the counter since the distilled water solution contains only 3 to 5 particles of silver per million. It is also safe to use and has no known side effects.
